From Vision to Impact: GRACE Foundation Honours Uncommon’s Young Innovators

On 21 November 2025, the GRACE Foundation celebrated a major milestone in its partnership with Uncommon.org at the graduation of the first-ever Vincent Bohlen Hub class in Victoria Falls. This collaboration, which began with the placement of two high-performing digital marketing interns, highlights the powerful synergy between Uncommon’s mission for tech literacy and GRACE’s focus on sustainable community development. By bridging the gap between innovative tech education and real-world conservation work, the partnership equips young Zimbabweans with the professional skills and social consciousness needed to drive the country’s future growth.

On 21 November 2025, the GRACE Foundation had the distinct honour of attending and participating in the Uncommon Graduation Ceremony, held at Chamabondo Primary School, Victoria Falls for the Vincent Bohlen Hub Class of 2025. This event marked a significant moment in our collaboration, one born of shared values, mutual respect, and a common mission to empower young Zimbabweans.

Notably, this graduating class from the Victoria Falls based hub, was the first from Matabeleland following the opening of the Vincent Bohlen hub in late 2024. Truly a momentous day, marking a significant milestone in Uncommon’s journey and a beacon of hope to the youth of the province.

A Partnership Rooted in Purpose

Months earlier, Uncommon had reached out to the GRACE Foundation with a request that closely aligned with our work in community empowerment and youth development. They were seeking to place students from their Digital Marketing department in real-world work environments as part of their attachment program. What began as a conversation about taking on one student evolved into a deeper commitment. After interviewing four young women, the GRACE Foundation welcomed two interns, whose professionalism, curiosity, and eagerness to learn reflected the strong training and mentorship provided by Uncommon.

Their presence at the GRACE Foundation demonstrated the important role that practical experience plays in building confidence, enhancing workplace readiness, and nurturing future leaders in Zimbabwe’s growing digital landscape.

A Celebration of Growth and Shared Values

At the graduation ceremony, Sara from the GRACE Foundation addressed the audience with heartfelt pride. She spoke on how GRACE Foundation deeply admires Uncommon.org, not only for equipping young Zimbabweans with essential technology skills but also for instilling confidence, professionalism, and resilience.

She celebrated the graduates for their creativity and commitment to using technology to uplift communities. Her message highlighted the strong alignment between the two organisations:

  •  Uncommon is on a mission to make Zimbabwe the most tech-literate country in Africa.
  • GRACE Foundation is dedicated to building thriving, resilient communities through conservation, sustainable development, and education.

Together, these missions complement each other, empowering young people who are both technologically capable and socially conscious.

Looking Ahead: A Shared Vision for Zimbabwe’s Future

This collaboration is more than an attachment program; it represents what becomes possible when mission-driven organisations work together to equip young people for meaningful impact.

  • Uncommon continues to empower youth through practical, innovative tech education, bootcamps, and entrepreneurship development.
  • GRACE Foundation (Grace ZW) operates at the intersection of conservation and community development, committed to empowering local communities, restoring ecosystems, and supporting education.

Our partnership demonstrates how digital literacy, youth empowerment, conservation, and community development can work hand-in-hand to build a stronger and more sustainable Zimbabwe.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To Uncommon, the GRACE Foundation extends our deepest appreciation for the trust and collaboration shown throughout this journey. To the graduates, your hard work and dedication have set a strong foundation for your futures, and we are confident you will continue to make meaningful contributions wherever you go.

As we look forward, GRACE Foundation remains committed to strengthening this partnership, providing more opportunities for young people, and contributing to a future where Zimbabweans can thrive in harmony with both technology and nature.

Congratulations, Uncommon Vincent Bohlen Class of 2025. The journey is just beginning.
