Kituso Primary School Water Project
The Kituso Primary School Water Project is a GRACE Foundation Trust initiative in partnership with the Kituso community to ensure sustainable access to clean water for Kituso Primary School. By extending pipes from a nearby borehole, the project will provide essential water for drinking, hygiene, and other school activities, fostering a healthier learning environment for students.

This project aims to trench and install a water pipeline connecting an existing borehole to Kituso Primary School. Working hand-in-hand with the community, we ensure that the infrastructure is sustainable and meets the school’s needs. This initiative addresses a critical gap, enabling students to thrive in a cleaner, safer environment.
How It Works
- Borehole Access: The project utilizes a nearby borehole as the water source.
- Pipeline Installation: Pipes will be entrenched into the ground, ensuring durability and efficient water transport.
- Community Collaboration: The local community will assist in the construction process, ensuring ownership and sustainability.
- System Integration: The water system will connect directly to Kituso Primary School, providing access to water.
- Ongoing Support: GRACE Foundation will support the school and community with technical expertise and resources to maintain the system.
Why It Works
This project builds on existing infrastructure, minimizing costs while maximizing impact. By involving the community, we foster a sense of ownership and responsibility. The new water supply to the Primary School will enhance health, hygiene, and learning conditions at the school.
Improved Hygiene
